Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to CHD Photo!
I've been taking photos since the late 70's, starting out at the Milwaukee County Zoo. During my 21 years in the USAF I've traveled and photographed all over the US and in several locations overseas. After a several year hiatus in photography we started back up and made the move to digital in 2007. We also moved from Nikon 35mm to Canon digital as our choice of camera systems.
We will do our best to keep adding and expanding our site, please email and let us know if there is anything you would like to see.
People Photography
We can provide studio, in home or location sessions for your photo needs.
Wedding Photography
We will be doing a limited amount of weddings in the future, but look forward to doing these and providing couples and their families with a quality set of images to remember this special day.
Studio Photography
We made the decision to go with the new PCB Einstein lighting equipment, which we are very happy with, both indoor in out small in home studio and outside using an external power unit. Shooting wireless also gives a lot more freedom during the shooting sessions.
HDR Photography
There is a lot to learn in this type of photography, the good thing is that any camera can produce these type of images. There are some really good books out there and a tremendous amount of examples on the web.
Macro Photography
Almost any subject can be photographed from a macro point of view. Many subjects take on a entirely different appearance when viewed at life size or larger.
Flower Photogrpahy
Many large naturally growing species, including sunflowers, can be photographed without any special equipment. Other flowers, some only 1/4 inch in size do require some special equipment such as macro lenses to properly photograph the bloom.
Zoo Photography
Due to the feeding and veterinarian care most if not all animals look much better in zoos than they would in the wild, better body weight, less scarring, although some do develop some rather odd behaviors due to being in very small enclosures.
